Age Limits, Sex, and Marital Status
Age Limits

SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) Exam:
- Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer: 18-30 years
- Junior Statistical Officer: 18-32 years
- All other posts: 18-27 years
SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) Exam:
- LDC/JSA, PA/SA, DEO: 18-27 years
SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) Exam:
- General Posts: 18-25 years
SSC JE (Junior Engineer) Exam:
- General Posts: 18-32 years
SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Exam:
- Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 18-30 years
- Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 18-27 years
SSC GD Constable Exam:
- General Posts: 18-23 years
Age Relaxation: The SSC provides age relaxation for various categories:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PWD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date.
Sex and Marital Status
- Sex: There are no restrictions based on sex; both male and female candidates can apply for SSC exams.
- Marital Status: Marital status is generally not a criterion for eligibility. Both married and unmarried candidates are eligible to apply. However, there might be specific physical standards for certain posts that married female candidates must meet, particularly in roles like SSC GD Constable.
